INCREDIBLE SIMILARITY BETWEEN MY OLD PHOTO TAKEN IN ITALY AND INFRA SHOOT OF PAINTING OPHELIA (JOHN EVERETTE MILLAIS) FOUND ACCIDENTALLY ONE DAY DOING SOME RESEARCH.
THE PICTURE REMINDED ME A CAVE IN SOME WAY, AND MY PHOTO, ON THE OTHER HAND, RADIATES A SORT OF PEACE.
BUT THE MOMENT IN WHICH I TOOK THAT PHOTO WAS A TRANSIT MOMENT, FULL OF ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION CAUSED BY TOO MANY CHANGES IN TOO LITTLE TIME.
THEREFORE I CREATED THIS DIPTYCH, AS A FORM OF ENCOURAGEMENT FOR TRAVELERS TO STAY STRONG AND REMEMBER THAT EVERYTHING WILL FULLY FORM AND THE EDGES OF THE PICTURE YOU ARE IN WILL BE SHARPEN SOONER THAT YOU THINK.

It is generally known, at least in European culture, that when an individual wants to do a jump, there´s a preparation ahead. For example a person needs to change city, or workspace. Logic says: "Train, prepare, and then when you have every bit of an information what is waiting for you in a new space, you go and do the jump. But the pathway of intuition doesn´t work that way. It feels more like a Free Fall.

Looking at this piece, I can´t help but think of my latest inspirations, czech artist and performer Miloš Šejn and his performance "Falling Sun"(1983, Zebín).
The performative action Šejn did was inspired by the traditions of the summer solstice festivities, where back then local people would throw burning wheels down the valley during that night.
On the top of the mountain, he would take a burning torch and start to spin it - facing the setting sun and turning his back on the moon. To me his gesture of creating a lighting circle on the top of the mountain represents form of a call -
"I am here, I am the centre now, I express." - as if he would be in a direct dialogue with the setting sun.

´I´m a radio´ is a reminder of the idea that each person is potentially able to tune to a certain state of beeing. The piece was made intuitively, using natural materials linked to specific symbolism.
Jay is usually taken as a symbol of change.
Wallnut is known for it´s power, territoriality and connection to femininity.
